There is power behind the years you're married. You want someone who sees you on your worst day; when you're tired, frustrated, and otherwise put upon when life pushes back against your best self yet they still see who you all through all the noise. Each passing year, month, and day togethers adds to your collective experience that helps you answer the question "Who was that guy in the movie with the girl and thing..." when your partner asks and also helps you survive those days when you struggle to be the person want to be.
Happy Anniversary Karen. Thank you for being there for me when I am not my best and when life pushes back. I learn so much from you everyday; how to be strong, laugh, love, and otherwise make my way in the world. I am so proud of you and am loving growing (old lately) with you!
